Guidelines For PLC Members…
PLC Members, Holding Space & Guiding Principles
Active Participation vs Non Active Participation
We invite active participants to join PLC. This is not a place or space for fence sitters, bystanders, or non-participants, and the membership fee aims to filter out the above, so that each member is encouraged and assisted to actively participate, in their own local Communities, through their membership fee.
Some members are not as mobile or physically active as others, so they can still participate as little or as much as they wish.
For members who are more proactive, there will be lots of juicy projects to get involved with, especially when PLC members are encouraged to use their prior knowledge, experience, skills and talents.
Members Fee
Members pay a monthly subscription fee £11.00 per month non refundable.
Only individual membership is available. PLC family members under 16 are free.
Yearly membership @ £11.00 pm = £132.00
Members Making Changes
If, for some unfathomable reason, a PLC Member wants to leave, then they don’t subscribe after that month, which aims to make things very simple.
Any prior membership payments are not refundable. They just don’t continue to subscribe anymore. Their investment will go into the Community central fund as normal.
PLC Funds, Income & Transparency
Members monthly fees are ring fenced for the PLC Community central fund, and not used for individual salaries or private individual funds.
All IP Products online and physical events proceeds will be distributed to the individual making and creating the project and/or the product.
In the case of a collaborative product or joint enterprise including more than one individual, then the profits will be shared amongst the participants of the project, who produced and delivered the product/Community Benefit.
Holding Space For Others
We take every opportunity to encourage and maintain a harmonious and peaceful environment within our PLC meetings, events and Hubs. This is very important to us.
However, seeing as we would like to include all members of society, we realise that some members of the Community may, for various reasons, become disruptive in some way and cause challenging issues, that may lead to disharmony in a group.
Having personally experienced these challenging behaviours being left to destroy positive group dynamics in the past, we therefore encourage honourable and authentic behaviours in all meetings.
We operate a ‘3 Strikes’ policy, with regard to any issues which threaten or actually damage the capacity to Hold Positive Space for others…
